Tarbaby will be touring Europe next May and July 2012 with Oliver Lake(alto sax). As grantees of the French-American Jazz Exchange Tarbaby + Oliver Lake will collaborate with the French jazz guitarist Marc Ducret (only France commitments) on a musical homage to the French philosopher and psychologist Frantz Fanon. Brooklyn-based saxophonist Noah Preminger brings a unique sound, technical mastery and a narrative sensibility to his playing that belies his youth. A relative newcomer to the scene, Preminger has already developed an instantly recognizable sound. Preminger has had the opportunity to perform and work alongside Dave Liebman, Billy Hart, Victor Lewis, Dave Douglas, Dave Holland, Danilo Perez and numerous others.

Hailed by the New York Times as "a tenor saxophonist with an enigmatic, elegant and hard-driving style," JD Allen is a bright rising light on today’s international jazz scene. "Victory!" (Sunnyside) his last release has been chosen one of 2011 Best Jazz Albums by 'Los Angeles Times', NPR, 'The Boston Globe', 'Chicago Reader', Jazztimes, 'Financial Times' among many others. JD Allen won downbeats 2011 rising star award for tenor saxophone.

Fabián Almazán, piano / Linda Oh, bass / Henry Cole, drums
Almazan was born in Cuba, raised in Miami, and now lives in New York. In that time, he became the pianist in Terence Blanchard's quintet, affording him one of the few high-level, globe-trekking apprenticeships remaining in jazz. 'Personalities', Fabian’s debut album, was released October 2011.
